Fortunately, if our hands-on with a preview build of the game is anything to go by, it looks as though Saber's take on Space Marine's meaty third person combat is just as brutally satisfying as the original. Thanks to a sequence of corporate acquisitions, Saber Interactive now finds itself responsible for the series and is attempting to recapture the magic. Something of a cult classic, this game offered a meaty and satisfying third-person action game, with plenty of engaging combat setpieces and sci-fi drama. AMD Ryzen CPU's can use the program AMD Master made by AMD, to turn on Legacy Mode to disable the 8 other cores. It's been over 10 years since the first Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine graced our screens. TLDR: If you have a 16 core CPU, and you are having issues with this game crashing on launch, Disable 8 of those cores. The only issue, is that it sucks mega hard to only be using half the cores and needing to restart my pc when i turn off this mode. Setting my CPU to legacy mode and only having 8 cores running, is what let me play the game with no issues. You need to restart your PC every time you turn this mode on and off. I used AMD master for my AMD CPU, it has a setting called "Legacy Mode" which will disable 8 of the cores. If you have a 16 core CPU you need to disable half of them so only 8 cores run. I went to the final step that others recommended. I went into the installation folder for the game and installed the old C++ located in the install folder. I deleted the old C++ as some people had said to do. This may be why one of your pc's works fine and the other does not, it was my CPU having 16 cores. I will go through exactly what I did so it can be replicated if need be. Very annoying as I had a friend over specifically to play this, then it didnt work! I swear i already replied to this but it seems like its not posted. I updated the C++ redistributable and managed to get further, but it still crashed and then hasn't been able to get as far since.
